Last year’s positive feedback from the various sectors of the food industry, the viewing public and the persistent clamour of carinderia owners was incentive enough to stage Carinderia Fiesta this year with one of the most celebrated and vibrant festivals in the country as this year’s main theme… the Pahiyas Festival.
To date, there are over three million carinderias in the Philippines, which until last year was mostly untapped and underserved. Carinderias are now emerging with a whole new confidence, especially in terms of the quality and safety of the food being served. The chosen Carinderia Queen stands to win a Negosyo Condura refrigerator as one of the major prizes. The two-day event will be hosted by Christine Bersola Babao.
