MANILA, Philippines—“The Wizard of Oz” – Winner of the Best Musical for Children (Aliw Awards 2012) will have its last two performances on December 13 at 1:30 p.m. and on December 14 at 10:30 a.m. in Onstage, 2/F Greenbelt 1, Makati City.
Dubbed the greatest family musical of all time and the most magical adventure of them all “The Wizard of Oz” will definitely thrill the child in all of us with its special effects.
Be captivated and get ready to click your heels together and join Dorothy and her little dog Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion as they travel down the yellow brick road to obtain their heart’s desires.
Co-presented by Velvet Channel and the City of Makati, “The Wizard of Oz” is a perfect Christmas treat for the whole family.
“The Wizard of Oz” is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic, with its wonderful music by Jeanne Bargy and Jim Eiler and book and lyrics by Jim Eiler. The local production company would like to note that this musical adaptation is not based on the MGM film, nor does it include any of the songs from that film.
