Meet 2bU’s prom red-carpet stars

The 2013 Prom Season saw girls walk the red carpet in sparkles, bold or jewel-tone fabrics and saccharine-sweet styles, while guys suited up in sleek neutrals, with the occasional statement bright silk bow-tie, slim tie or vest.
The 2bU Prom Red-Carpet Star promo called on all prom-goers nationwide to post their looks on Instagram using the hashtag #2buprom, with six winners getting a special treat—a shopping spree at Forever 21, Uniqlo and SM Department Store.
Three girls stood out from among the entries: Janna Lejano and her modern take on gothic-romantic; Monica Anson, who dazzled in a jewel-like pink-violet frock; and Mikaela Gonzales in her swan-like, lacy mini dress matched with a gold clutch and velveteen fuchsia heels.

Among the guys, the most dashing were Alfonso Montelibano, who paired his suit with silk tie and monochrome boutonniere; Carl Laurel in a single-breasted suit with statement bow-tie; and Lorenzo Roi Florendo’s geek-chic ensemble.
