Peta and Globe bring ‘Batang Rizal’ to Dagupan City

THE CAST of “Batang Rizal” headed by Queenie Reyles and Julie Bautista pose with Globe Central Luzon regional sales head Alfred Moreno (sitting second from left); Central Luzon business developmentmanagers Maria Rizza Reyes and Jussan Consunji; area sales head for Pangasinan Henry Marzan; territory sales head Mark Lapena; and Central Luzon trademarketing managers Karen Francisco and Andrea Magtalas.

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (Peta), in partnership with Globe Telecom, recently staged the highly successful and long-running production of “Batang Rizal” in Dagupan City, before an audience of thousands of college students from different universities and colleges in Pangasinan.

The educational, interactive musical play has been on tour around the country, giving a fresh and interactive look on the life and works of national hero Dr. José Rizal. It features all-original music composed and arranged by Vincent de Jesus, with direction by Dudz Teraña and text by Christine Bellen.

Students from the University of Pangasinan, University of Luzon, Lyceum Northwestern University, Colegio de Dagupan, Dagupan City National Highschool, St. John Cathedral School and STI, among others, trooped to the Astrodome in Dagupan City on March 8 to watch the play.

Students needed only to buy a TM SIM at P20 and load at least P20 to watch the play. Existing subscribers just had to load P30.
