A friend swears it does whiten skin while also moisturizing it
THERE WAS SOMEthing about the past few weeks that made me a little more nationalistic.

I came from SM grocery to buy some Christmas giveaways for the less fortunate, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the store didn’t use plastic bags anymore, but boxes and brown paper bags to pack groceries.

I told my helper that next time she buys groceries for the house, we should support SM for its conscious effort to do something about our country’s waste management problem.

I was also looking at some local beauty products available at SM and chanced upon Belo’s body care line. Now, I am addicted to sunless tanning products, though the Philippines is known for loving skin whitening products.

Luckily, with the help of Cristalle, Vicky’s daughter, I got hold of information and a goodie bag of Belo products. A friend who was addicted to skin whitening tried the products and she loved them. Not only did her skin lighten, she told me, the product also helped correct her uneven skin tone. Mostly, she was impressed that it didn’t dry her skin, which she thought went hand-in-hand with skin whitening products.

Apparently, Vicki’s whitening line lives up to the hype—it whitens your skin while also moisturizing it. A comparative study conducted by a third party BFAD-accredited dermatologist was said to have found out that the product works 60-percent better than the leading papaya whitening soap, while the lotion works 40-percent better than a more well-known whitening lotion.

If you’re serious about whitening, you might want to test these claims.
