TALENTED ARTIST AND BRILLIANT designer Matthew Waldman had all the chic invitees going gaga over his Nooka timepieces that are renowned for their ingenuity, dahlings.

The Nooka event last week was held at the chic ?in? place to be seen The Establishment in The Fort.

Its creator Matthew Waldman and local distributor, successful business entrepreneur Raffy Florencio welcomed us to a night of distinct Nooka fun, enjoyed by society?s hippest set, palanggas.

Nooka reinvents the way you look at time with its innovative watch designs, dahlings, by introducing graphic and linear representations like dots and bars. A fantastic way of viewing time, the visual mass increases as time passes, explained the super amicable Matthew, no less, dahlings.

Vivaciously fun Kat Florencio awarded Nooka watches to Joey as ?Nooka Lady of the Night,? and Mark Villar as ?Nooka Man of the Night.?

Showcase of beauty and style

Fabulous, beautiful faces were visible at the Philippine Fashion Week in SMX Convention Center. Were you there, dahlings? It was a whole week of beauty, fashion and style at the Mall of Asia complex.

The Cream Silk Treatment?s show, palanggas, featured ready-to-wear Visions and Trends Collection. The Spring/Summer 2010 show had loads of the country?s most talented designers showcasing their eye-catching creations worn by our top catwalk princesses, dahlings. Present at the event were hotshots from Unilever, Nora Valeriano, senior assistant media manager, and Anna Castillo, brand manager for Cream Silk, and her rah! rah! rah! team, applauding each member on the ramp.

With tons of beautiful, flowing hair all over the place, it just had to be a Cream Silk super happening, di bala, palanggas.

Beth Romualdez?s book

All over the world October is celebrated as Breast Cancer Awareness month, palanggas. Five years ago in October, in thanksgiving for her 5th year of breast cancer remission, multi-talented cookbook author, Beth Romualdez, launched her first cookbook, ?Cooking Lessons.? She donated all the proceeds to charity??for free mammograms to indigent women.? In 2007 and 2008, Beth together with Bettina Osmena, Libet Virata and Cara Magsanoc-Alikpala organized Pink Kitchen and had an awesome ?foodie/gourmet weekend? raising funds for breast cancer research and awareness.

Now, marking her 10th year of remission, Beth launched her second cookbook simply entitled ?Cooking Lessons 2.? Tons of relatives, friends, chefs, former students and food lovers attended this must-have cookbook launching, all enjoying the absolutely delicious hors d?oeuvres from her cookbook and prepared by Le Souffle chef/patron, Jessie Sincioco, no less. The hardbound books were sold during the launch. Not to worry, palanggas, the paperback edition is now available in leading bookstores. Christmas is just around the corner so it?s a great gift for your pals, di bala, palanggas.

?Cooking Lessons 2? is a collection of recipes from her travels abroad, including her 6-month trip in bella Italia where she took a master course in Italian Regional Cooking at Istituto Superiore de Gastronomia Regionale d?Italia.

Nancy Harel?s birthday

Leave it to that PR achiever, popular owner of Nancy Harel & Associates, looking great when she celebrated 60 beautiful fruitful years of her exciting life, dahlings. The swinging 55 Events Place near Tomas Morato had guests pouring in, prepared for a long night of dancing and loads of fun, dahlings.

Guests, including friends from Zonta Muntinlupa, Rotary Makati, Sweethearts of Christ Foundation and Nancy?s elementary and high school classmates from St. Scholastica?s, had a blast with Soundstream, a band specializing in ballroom music, including the fun Israeli ?Hora?.

Completely delighted over the turnout, it was no wonder our Queen For a Day was smiling all night long. After all, dahlings, today?s 60 is the new 40, di bala, palanggas.
