EXPERIENCING peeling and dry patches lately? The erratic weather?sunny in the morning, scorching by noon, and raining at night?could take a toll on your skin this season, giving you dry, undernourished, botchy complexion.
?It?s during these wet months that you should take care of your skin more, especially those who have been out in the sun a lot in summer, it?s the time to rehabilitate your skin,? said Louie C. Migne, Avon head of communications for Asia-Pacific.
Three new Avon products were featured during 3Dimensions of Beauty launch, recently held at Blue Leaf in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig: Anew 360? White Intensive Correcting Serum, Skin So Soft Radiant Glow Whitening Hand and Body Lotion, and Ultra Color Rich Mega Impact Lipstick?all complement each other to give you a beauty boost this damp season.
Potent whitening serum
Anew 360? White Intensive Correcting Serum is the last product to complete the newest Anew whitening collection consisting of a foaming facial wash, toner and day and night cream. The serum is said to be the most potent in the series. Initially an anti-aging line, Anew ventured into the whitening trend to address the needs of those always on the search for new and better whitening balms.
?It is concentrated and repairs skin in as quick as three days by turning off the production of melanin or dark skin pigment, cutting off calcium flow from entering the skin that apparently cause spots, and discharging existing melanin on the surface to even out skintone,? said Migne.
Stage actress Lea Salonga, in an earlier interview said, ?I don?t really want to get whiter, but I want brighter, clearer skin, and Anew brought me that.? She has been endorsing Avon since the ?90s and said Anew and the makeup are ?hiyang? to her Asian complexion.
?What makes the serum different from other whitening products is the patented ?Whitality Technology? that doesn?t just give fair but healthier skin,? added Jacqueline Marcelo, Avon Southeast Asia manager for skincare.
Body love
To make sure your skintone is even all over, Migne suggests the Skin So Soft Radiant Glow Whitening Hand and Body Lotion. It contains Pearl Powder that makes skin smooth and glowing upon application. The lotion also has the Advanced Brightening Complex that reduces the production of dark spots while increasing production of light pigments, and is incorporated with Silkplex Technology which soothes dry skin.
?The Skin So Soft series is the bestseller among our lotions, and Avon has a lot. It?s a favorite of the Pinay because it?s non-greasy and perfect for our weather. We have several variants, and when they run out, another variant comes out still from the Skin So Soft selection. This one is expected to be a hit because a lot wants fairer skin,? Migne said.
?It is important to keep skin hydrated after a bath, or when you spend long time in an air-conditioned office, putting on lotion is the fastest way to do that.?
Update your look
Give your lip gloss a break and give your face an instant upgrade with a new lipstick. Avon Ultra Color Rich Mega Impact Lipstick has 10 shades suitable for the Filipino color, designed to give you a lift during the gloomy rainy days.
?The younger Filipino girls go for just tint and lip gloss. They aren?t used to using lipstick thinking it?s heavy to use, but now we have lipsticks that are rich in color and wears light like a gloss,? Migne said.
Ultra Color lipstick, endorsed by Hollywood sweetheart Reese Witherspoon, has the patented Chromapixel Technology that reflects light and enhances shine for that dramatic pout. The formula has iridescent pearls that boost colors for creamier reds, romantic pinks and natural nudes?all with SPF15 for sun protection.
?When you open it, you?d notice the difference in design. It has a pointy, two-sided tip unlike the usual cuts of lipsticks, that enables the lipstick to glide on smoothly for full coverage without caking or feathering,? said Christa Jacinto-Sarao, Avon Southeast Asia cluster associate category manager for color.
It comes in the following high-definition shades: Personified Plum and Brilliant Berry for fair to porcelain skin; Divine Wine and Rockin? Red, for eye-catching red lips; Really Rosy and Charged Cherry, warm shades of pink; Fuchsia Fun and Pink Pop for young-looking blush; Kicked Up Coral, a flattering shade of peach for the morena; and Brilliant Brown, a basic nude.
Green beauty bag
Avon also recently launched its ?Hello, Green Tomorrow? reusable bag. The roomy black, waterproof bag with green graphics is sold at P39 and can hold up to 10 kilos. This is part of Avon?s social-arm campaign.
?We encourage the Avon ladies and re-sellers to use this bag in delivering and buying Avon products as well as groceries,? said Migne. ?Proceeds from purchases of these bags will go to the reforestation project of ABS-CBN?s Bantay Kalikasan in La Mesa.?
Other Avon campaigns that support women are the Crusades against Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence. Avon is also the biggest direct-selling organization that enables women to earn from selling their products with promos spread out monthly.
