TO PROMOTE AWARENESS ON CLIMATE CHANGE, the Philippine Horticultural Society Inc. in cooperation with the MSBF headed by Chito Bertol will present a flower and garden show dubbed ?Horti 2010, It?s a Green World After All.?
To be formally opened by Philippine Daily Inquirer editor-in-chief Letty Jimenez Magsanoc, Lifestyle editor Millet Martinez Mananquil of Philippine Star, and Entertainment editor Crispina Belen of Manila Bulletin, the show will be held Jan. 29-Feb. 8 at Manila Seedling Bank, Edsa corner Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. Horti 2010 is composed of three sections: The exhibits of landscape and individual collection of plants that will make our world green; the lecture-demonstrations by experts on how to implement and maintain the environment healthy through green technology; and the commercial section where one can avail all the materials for the greening of the environment.
Some of the participants in the landscape design are King Louis Flowers and Plants, Jorge Mendoza, Philippine Bonsai Society, Natural Stone Society, Cactus and Succulent Society, Vic de Rona, Botchie Canicula, Constancio Basis, Lardy Abundo with Tess Baldonado, Rhea and Chito Luna and the study groups on Ferns, Aroids and Hoyas.
Prizes include P10,000 in cash with trophy for 1st prize in the Landscape category; P10,000 in cash with trophy for the Best Plant in Show; and trophy for lst, medal for 2nd and 3rd in each category for the individual plants.
