A lecture on the topic ?Paano Magpakalalaki sa Panahon ng Krisis: Ilang mga Kabatiran Mula sa ?Noli? ni Rizal? will be given by DLSU?s Teresa Wright from 8:30 to 10 a.m. This will be followed by Tatluhang Balagtasan on the topic ?Sino ang Kwalipikadong Maging Pangulo ng Bansa: Ang Boksingero, Artista o Pinuno ng Isang Sekta??

The late Reynaldo G. Alejandro?s last food book co-authored with Vicente Roman S. Santos, ?Estilo Ilonggo: Philippine Southern Lifestyle,? will be launched in three locations: Filipinas Heritage Library, Nielson Tower, Makati Ave., Makati City, on March 4, 5:30 p.m.; Nelly Gardens Mansion, Eugenio Lopez St., Iloilo, March 12, 5:30 p.m.; Gloria Esteban Residence, 111 Lacson St., Lupit, Bacolod, March 13, 5:30 p.m.

Mandarin class

Mandarin Oriental Manila?s executive pastry chef Roberto Molleman imparts his knowledge in a special cooking class on March 6 at The Tivoli?s kitchen. The Saturday class, which begins 9 a.m., is preceded by a Continental breakfast and followed by a three-course lunch.

Molleman conducts an Easter Afternoon Tea-theme class, with recipes on Scones, Lemon-Raspberry Tart and Earl Grey Tea Chocolate Mousse. The course also includes a session on Easter chocolate molding and decorations.

The lunch consists of Alaskan King Crab Leg, Avocado and Pears Salad; Vanilla Sherbet; Seabass with Asparagus and Balsamic Vinegar; and the pastries demonstrated in class for dessert.
