TOYS “R” US PUTS ON THE TWO FACES of Halloween: spooky and whimsical. Parents can dress up their kids in the creepiest attires or in fanciful and fabulous gowns. There is a “frightfest” at Robinsons Midtown and Fantasy Ball at Robinsons Galleria.

There’s also the Nerf Survival Challenge using Nerf, neon-colored foam-based weaponry, Oct. 25 at Midtown Atrium in Robinsons Place Ermita.

There’ll be Nerf foam bullets in spooky challenge booths such as Monster Feeder, Sharpshooter and Monster Hunter, or dart guns at Push to the Limit booth.

The Nerf items for sale include Nite Finder EX-3, Maverick Rev-6, Vulcan Cor-25 and Recon CS-6. There will be a Toy Vault and cos-players, too.

There’s also the Toys “R” Us Trick “R” Treat and Kiddie Costume Competition at Midtown Atrium from 10 a.m. onward on Oct. 25. A purchase of any Halloween item such as wings, masks, accessories from TRU gets special treats and freebies, and the chance to join the contest.

Barbie’s Pink Fairytale Costume Ball is on Oct. 31 at Robinsons Galleria Activity Center.

For little princesses, there’ll be Barbie-inspired playroom, photo walls, onstage activities, Barbie Museum and Barbie costume parade. For every P300 worth of purchase of Barbie items (single receipt) until Oct. 31, there’s free invite to Barbie’s fantasy ball. Register at Toys “R” Us wearing Halloween costume and join the Toys “R” Us Trick “R” Treat parade around the mall.

Toys “R” Us stores at Robinsons malls (Galleria, Ermita, Metroeast, Lipa, Bacolod) and Ayala malls (TriNoma mall, Alabang Town Center) and Marquee mall in Pampanga will stage Halloween pocket events with magicians, face paint and other kiddie activities in-store on Oct. 30-31.
