Ecology in gracious space- or how, after having lived in 20 condo units all these years, Marc Nelson finds a home
LOOKING AT MARC NELSON’S eyes, one can’t help but notice the giddiness as he describes Ariana, the latest apple of his eye. He can hardly wait to move in.

Ariana is not Marc’s latest girlfriend, but his dream home from DMCI.

Ariana, with Sofia and Helena, is part of Mahogany Place III in Taguig City. Marc, an avowed condo dweller since he arrived in the Philippines from Australia, has lived in 20 condominiums and is looking forward to living in a house of his own.

He let us take a peek at his house, with DMCI, Dimensione and Lexus Philippines.

Located just near C5 is a signature community of condominiums and subdivisions being developed by DMCI. Mahogany Place III is the centerpiece.

With units with a starting price of P6 million, Mahogany is a few minutes’ drive from Bonifacio Global City. Touted as one of the most exclusive subdivision developments with only 298 houses spread across eight hectares, Mahogany Place III has a distinct contemporary Asian design theme with streamlined roof lines and stylishly sparse façades, in subtle hues that blend with the suburban ambiance.

The main clubhouse has the comforts and benefits of a country club—with leisure amenities, including Wi-Fi accessibility. A soothing alcove is a come-on: It has a lobby lounge, huge function hall, mini-theater, dance studio, game room, fitness gym with sauna and second-floor lounge with a view deck, plus a property concierge office.

Outside the clubhouse are the adult and kiddie swimming pools, basketball court, picnic grove, children’s playground and landscaped amphitheater.

Sofia

The Sofia Townhouses have a 100% useable roof deck whereone can lounge. It’s a groundbreaking green architecture solution.

The roof deck and garden facilitate cross-ventilation while providing sun shading.

With first-class finishing of glass, wood and granite, the interiors of Sofia are both modern and timeless.

High ceilings, oversized doorways, picturesque windows and extensive glass panels maximize space. Every room has a bathroom and scenic balcony.

Helena

The Helena Duplex, designed with elegant detailing by Victor Consunji of VConsunji Design & Construction, has glass windows that brighten up interiors with a natural light.

On the ground floor is a private nook for quiet pursuits.

A wooden staircase leads to the second floor where the dining room, kitchen and living room blend into a triangular design where one can dine, wine and relax.

The third floor is where homeowners can choose to have three or two bedrooms plus a family quarter.

Ariana

Ariana is all about streamlining—a compact space.

Architect Dan Lichauco of Archion has used wood, stone and concrete to create a masterpiece of geometric forms, clean lines and timeless aesthetics.

The three-tiered single detached home has a well-proportioned design, from the spacious high-ceiling living area, private family room, cozy den that could double as home office, sizeable bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and scenic balconies.

It has natural granite kitchen countertops, natural wood flooring in all rooms and solid wood panel doors.

Immense windows let the cool breeze flow and floor-to-ceiling glass panels let the sunlight in.

All the three models have a garden and soothing water structure, either a reflection pool or a small dip pool.

Mahogany Place III is in Taguig City.
