Chinese painting exhibit
In celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Chinese Painting Group of the Confucius Institute of the Ateneo de Manila University and the Chan Lim family of painters will hold a group exhibit of paintings at the Grand Atrium, Shangri-La Plaza Mall at Mandaluyong City. Exhibit opens today at 6 p.m. and will run till Feb. 11. On Feb. 7, 3 p.m., there will be a demonstration of Chinese painting in the same venue by Dr. Alex Chan Lim and Dr. Felix Chan Lim. There will also be free workshops on Chinese painting in the afternoon of Feb. 7. Participants will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis through the customer service counter of the Shangri-La Plaza. The public is invited to these events.
Sun?s Korean SMS
Koreans staying in the Philippines will now have an easier way of exchanging messages with their friends, loved ones and colleagues in Korea via the Sun Korean SMS service.
Sun Cellular now has Korean language support in its network. Koreans will be able to compose text messages in Hangul, the Korean alphabet, and send to any Korean mobile number. All they need is a Sun Cellular SIM, postpaid or prepaid, and a mobile phone that can input Korean characters (usually LG and Samsung mobile phones). They can compose a text message with a maximum of 80 to 90 Korean characters, depending on the handset. The rate per Korean SMS is at P9.
