VETERAN PHOTOGRAPHER Michael Mariano recently presented ?Philippines: Sky IS the Limit,? a photo exhibit which showcased the country?s spectacular scenery, as well as its art, food, culture and lifestyle.
The exhibit was held March 29-April 9 at Philippine Center, Consulate General of the Philippines, 556 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York.
On March 30, the exhibit went online at http://skyisthelimit.marianomedia.com.
The photographs were shot during Mariano?s various trips as a professional photographer servicing PR and advertising requirements, from fashion and portraiture to travel and lifestyle, weddings, food/still-life and corporate/industrial photography. Other images were captured in photography workshops he and his colleagues conducted around the country for the students of DLS-College of Saint Benilde?s Multimedia Arts program.
One of the pioneer graduates of DLS-College of Saint Benilde?s Multimedia Arts program, Mariano is a freelance photographer/multimedia designer. He has eight years? experience in the multimedia, graphic and web industries and six years as a professional photographer. He also counts four years as an instructor in various colleges, and has conducted multimedia and photography seminars and workshops across the Philippines. Mariano is currently taking up his advanced studies in Computer Graphics and Digital Imaging at Pratt Institute Manhattan.
The exhibit featured 30 enlarged digital photographs of landscapes, seascapes, architecture and portraits. Framed and enlarged photographs and photo reprints were sold during the exhibit. Net proceeds were given to the Philippine National Red Cross for ongoing relief efforts in the Philippines.
