FORMER SOLICITOR-GENERAL Frank Chavez launched his novel, ?Blighted,? last Oct. 26, at Filipinas Heritage Library.
Some dignitaries seen that night were former senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr., former secretary Josie Lichauco, Social Welfare Sec. Esperanza Cabral, former President Erap Estrada, Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Margie Juico, Randy David, Eddie Villanueva, Fr. Robert Reyes, Babe Romualdez, former senator Ernie Maceda, Bettina Legarda, Maria Yotoko-Chorengel, Boy Hilvano, D.M. Wenceslao, Tony Abaya, and others.
Copies are now available nationwide at National Book Store, Powerbooks, Fully Booked and Chavez Miranda Aseoche Law offices.
Chavez said the novel seeks to sear the conscience of Filipinos on the corruption that has gripped the government bureaucracy.
Proceeds of the sale will go to UP PGH and two projects of the Rotary Club of Makati (Bantay Bata and Gawad Kalinga), where Chavez serves as a director.
