THE MAYA KITCHEN PRESENTS CHOCOLATE creations on Nov. 21, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The class features White Chocolate Surprise, Fruit-filled Truffles, Chocolate Mousse Cups, Chocolate Fudge Bars, Chocolate Bonbons, Chocolate Cheesecake, Molded Chocolate and Almond Roca. Packaging demonstration is included. On the same day, 1:30-5:30 p.m., learn hard sandwiches and meat pies like Cabbage and Mushroom Sandwich, Chicken Supreme, Red Egg with Herbed Dressing, Sausage Pie and Mini Ambrosia Pie.
Coffee 101 is from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Learn coffee history, coffee process, troubleshooting, machine know-how, proper grinding plus the techniques to a perfect froth. Watch the actual preparation of popular coffee concoctions Espresso, Cappucino, Latte and Spins.
For cooks, bakers and F&B service personnel, The Maya Kitchen offers Tesda-accredited courses with certificate. Fundamentals of Bakery Production is on Nov. 18-20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The course is applicable to both small and commercial scale operations.
Basic culinary is on Nov. 24-27, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. It includes cooking fundamentals and international standard techniques for the home and institutional scale kitchens.
On Nov. 24 to 28, 1:30-6 p.m., be a bona fide Barista in a 120-hour course with on-the-job training and special seminar on English grammar for food and beverage service.
