More than 250 photos of actors, models, First Ladies and society figures?it?s a feast
HOT OFF THE SHELF? Vogue?s ?People, Parties and Places? coffee-table book, launched in the US last Nov. 17, is the quintessential read and perfect adornment for any home.

It contains more than 250 photographs of actors, models, First Ladies and society figures who have appeared in the pages of Vogue over the past decades, photographed by legendary photographers such as Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Stephen Meisel, Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts and Annie Leibovitz.

The book is divided into five sections? The Women, The Parties, The Actresses, The Places, and Muses and Models.

Inside pages contain glamorous weddings; gardens from East Hampton to Corfu; homes in Paris, New York, Italy; the legendary Black-and-White Ball of Truman Capote; the annual Costume Institute party at the Metropolitan Museum; and namedroppables like Michelle Obama, Kate Moss, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett and Jacqueline Kennedy.

On the cover are the handsome couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. This book just came out in the US and I?ve just received my copy from Amazon. Last year, the book ?Vogue Living?Houses, Gardens and People? was my favorite Christmas gift to special friends. This year, this one will probably be my favorite.

Must-have T-hirt?Lacoste Campanas Limited Edition. It isn?t Christmas yet, and I?ve received probably the best T-shirt anyone can ask for. Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campanas have designed and teamed up with everyone?s favorite tee brand?Lacoste?to create a signature look based on the alligator logo.

These limited-edition shirts (only 20,000 pieces worldwide) have designs that look like the alligators are resting on mud beds. The shirts will be launched in Asia this December with parties in Beijing, Seoul, Bangkok and Singapore, with the Campanas brothers in attendance.

I would like to thank Frank Cancelloni, the Asia Director of Lacoste, for the wonderful present!

Misibis Bay Raintree?I have not had this much fun in a resort in the Philippines in a long time. The Misibis Raintree resort in Cagraray Island, Albay (tel. 6838222 locals 3881 and 3882; www.misibisbay-raintree.com), is truly one of the places I would love to come back to time and time again.

Despite the fact that it does not have the same famed white sands as Boracay or the world-class look of Amanpulo or Shang Boracay, it makes up for such with the activities it offers.

It?s a world-class resort with 38 luxurious suites, some even having their own plunge pool. I tried wakeboarding for the first time and was able to get up on my third try. I also rode an ATV that showed me parts of the property still in development, such as a zip line as well as wall-climbing facilities.

I can?t wait for next year, between the months of January to June, when the whale sharks make their presence known in the islands. I highly recommend this place for lovers of adventure and nature.

Final note?I got another early Christmas gift from the Philippine Tatler?s October cover girl, international designer Tory Burch. She sent me a beautiful Hermés gray-and-white cashmere blanket with a note saying:

?Dear Anton, Wow, I am completely blown away by the story in Tatler! How can we ever thank you enough?! Hope to see you soon.

X, Tory?
