I was so wrung dry by four years of Forever 81’s relentless weekly deadlines that I just had to take a break (or a breakdown). I am too old for marathons. For weeks I couldn’t write, I couldn’t paint, I couldn’t do anything creative (maybe a salad?!).
Old gives you the right to be cranky, bitchy, bossy, looney–after all, who’s gonna get back at a lame old dame!
Award-winning cultural essayist and advocate Felice Sta. Maria will handle the Filipinas Heritage Library’s Cultural Work 101 workshop on March 1, 2012. Sta. Maria was the first recipient of the Dangal ng Haraya for cultural management, a lifetime achievement award from the National Commission for Culture and Arts. She actively champions her philosophy for social transformation through her work and writing.
