Eat all the mangoes you can for P200 at this Independence Day weekend event

A literal mango buffet is coming your way this Independence Day weekend. You can take part in a mango-all-you-can event featuring the famed Guimaras mango this June 11 at Ayala Malls Market! Market! This is hosted by the Alagang Ayala Land Program in support of the agriculture-driven social enterprise Rural Rising.

For one day only, you can have your fill of ripe and juicy mangoes for P200. For the same amount, you can also opt to donate the fruit to a worker, security guard, rider, or driver. As buffet rules go, you can only enjoy the mango feast on the premises—which means no take-out boxes or to-go containers.

You can sign up here to reserve your slot in advance.

Aside from the mango buffet, you can also shop for fresh produce at the box-all-you-can event happening on June 12. For P699, you’re given ten minutes to fill a 14”x14” box with as much locally grown and fresh produce as you can. You can have your fill of fruits and vegetables such as onion, cabbage, eggplant, potato, corn, papaya, lettuce, pineapple, carrots, radish, cauliflower, and more.

The proceeds of these events will benefit local farmers. With the arrival of the rainy season, the turnover of produce may be slower, which is why we need to support them now more than ever. As much as possible, we should shop local and always support our farmers.
