Partying with Paris

Paris Hilton was feted a special private dinner for roughly 20 people at one of the finest hotels in Manila by Representative Manny Pacquiao and his lovely wife Jinkee.

Paris clearly adores the couple. She ooh-ed and ahh-ed over the gifts they presented to her which included Team Pacquiao shirts and a Pacquiao doll that she loved.

It was through the kindness of the Pacquiaos that we had the chance to meet Paris. My brief and personal encounter with her showed me that she is nothing short of lovely.

She gamely posed for photographs and signed autographs for fans—even the ones who approached her inside the hotel comfort room! She even made the effort to write the name of each fan. There was one name that took her ten minutes to write—“Jong Jong.”

We talked about the uniqueness of Filipino nicknames and she was amused.

She must have said “I love Manila” at least four times throughout the night. She talked about her love for the Philippines and its people. She was so amazed at the warmth and talent of Filipino people. She mentioned all these Filipino designers who were gifting her with gorgeous dresses left and right. Bea Constantino, her stylist in Manila for the Century Properties shoots, confirmed that Paris practically wore only clothes by Filipino designers throughout her stay in Manila.

Paris said she was dying to go to Boracay. We talked about how much we both love the beach. She’s clearly a beach babe. She asked me about the world-famous Boracay sand. I told her that Boracay is now recognized as the number four best beach in the world and how the pristine white sand never burns your feet no matter how hot the sun at any time of the day and at any time of the year.

She said she will definitely keep coming back and will make sure Boracay is on her list of destinations.

Paris was unbelievably sweet, disarmingly charming and unquestionable warm. She is truly an heiress with no airs.
