Consul General Miguel Ma. Guerrero and Alice Tesoro-Guerrero celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Jan. 27 at the Manila Polo Club.

 

The Eucharistic celebration was held at the East Terrace with Msgr. Esteban Lo (Order of Malta chaplain) as main celebrant, and concelebrating with him were Fr. Antonio Ma. Rosales, OFM, and Fr. Joel Sulse, OFM.

 

Heading the guest list were prominent personalities like Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile and Cristina Ponce Enrile;   Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario and Gretchen del Rosario; former Chief Justices Art and Leni Panganiban; and Rene and Tina Corona.

 

Ambassadors from various countries were also on hand like Austria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Indonesia, Israel, European Union, South Africa, Finland, Spain, Japan, Order of Malta, Switzerland.

 

Members of different organizations to which the couple belong were also present like Consular Corps, Order of Malta, Philippine-Japan Society, International Bazaar Foundation, Rotary Club of Manila, Zonta Club of Makati, parishioners of Santuario de San Antonio and other affiliations.

 

Participants of the wedding entourage include the siblings of Alice and cousins of Mike, making it truly a family affair. Also present were members of the Guerrero and Tesoro families.

 

Entertainment numbers were provided by Princess Ibanez, violinist; George Tagle, vocalist; and the Soundstream Band, which provided the dance music.

 

As a measure of thanksgiving to the Lord for showering them with countless blessings, Mike and Alice requested that in lieu of gifts, donations were requested of the following beneficiaries: Order of Malta, Our Lady of Peace Foundation and Santuario de San Antonio.
