Transwing Art Gallery (www.kunstgallery.eu) in Darmstadt, Germany, which has a satellite office in Dasmariñas, Cavite, will launch the art-history book “Revisiting Mabini Art” at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Gallery in Intramuros on May 20, 5 p.m.
The book, which will be on exhibit until May 26, takes another look at the significance of Mabini art in the development of visual arts in the country.
It features contributions by art history professors Paul Blanco Zafaralla and Pearl E. Tan.
Copies of the book will be available at Fully Booked and National Book Store branches starting June.
“Revisiting Mabini Art” is endorsed by the NCCA, the Art Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Art Education Association.
The book will also be launched in Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands and Switzerland in June.
