Laura launched her career in 1984 as a member of the all-female Dutch group Centerfold, and toured Europe and Japan extensively.
She has explored different musical genres including jazz, Latin, and chansons.
In 1991 Fygi went solo with her debut album, “Introducing Laura Fygi,” produced by Ruud Jacobs and featuring Jean “Toots” Thielemans, regarded as one of the greatest harmonica players of the 20th century.
Fygi’s Manila concerts are supported by Merk’s Place, Radio High 105.9 FM, BPI Let’s Make it Easy, Globe, Ayala Land, Fort Victoria, and the Department of Tourism.
