June is the traditional month to walk down the aisle and meet your destiny at the altar. A June bride is a spring bride, usually in a white wedding gown.
But then, statistics also indicate that December-January sees the highest rate of weddings in the country.
June or December, it doesn’t really matter. What does is the infectious romance evoked by just seeing the elements of a wedding, such as the wedding ensemble.
To celebrate the season of romance, white lace and promises, an exclusive Lifestyle shoot was held at the by-now iconic Zuellig Building in Makati. Bridal wear was draped on two of the most beautiful Bb. Pilipinas winners/Miss Universe runners-up Janine Tugonon and Shamcey Supsup, who herself is set to wed this year.
Manila’s most talented designers—Auggie Cordero, Ito Curata, Albert Andrada, Randy Ortiz, Rhett Eala, Fatima Beltran and Cary Santiago—rose to
the challenge with fiercely original designs, each one as beautiful and distinct as the next.
Many of the original bridal bouquets used were created by Robert Blancaflor, Manila’s most sought after floral designer. Bridal shoes were in color: blue, gold, fuchsia and mauve—done by Lila Almario. Some are by Call It Spring. Bulgari provided outstanding diamonds—rings, bracelets, collars and dangling earrings.
