I haven’t had the chance to attend the MAC Autumn-Winter 2013 trend report since I caught a nasty bug.
I’ve always considered myself more of a skincare kind of girl, although I’ve always enjoyed putting makeup on my friends—until this lipstick incident happened. Before leaving for vacation last February, I was given a shade that was coming out in May. I absolutely loved it! But when I got back, I forgot to go and get the shade. Long story short, I ended up buying the last two pieces of lip liner and Lipglass since the shade was sold out all over.
For the first time, I went as far as checking if it was available on eBay—which it was, of course, for a hundred dollars! No, I didn’t buy one since I felt it would be a sin, but then I realized I have become a makeup junkie.

Yes, the shade Heroine did this to me. So, after this lipstick hunt, and having missed the trends report, I immersed myself in MAC’s book on the 2013 Autumn-Winter trends that

The thing about Autumn-Winter trends is, since we are a tropical country, they don’t always suit us. Also, a lot of us are used to putting on makeup the way we like to day in and day out, and trying out something new is out of the question.
I think I am quite conservative when putting on makeup; the most daring I’ve gone in the last three years is in terms of lipstick shades and using colored eyeliner (blues and greens) on my under-eye.
Since I plan to become more open to new things and be a bit more adventurous, I excitedly opened the MAC book and was pleasantly surprised. The palette isn’t so out there. Yes, sometimes I do find its collections a bit too flashy, but this time I loved it! I want to share the photos with you so you can copy and decide what can work for you.
My personal advice would be to choose a look you want and visit the makeup counter so you can ask a makeup artist to teach you how to achieve the same look. Make it yours and look hot!

“Undone but well-done.” Sick of seeing girls like they spent hours in the salon just to have dinner out? This look is all about unraveled hair or sexy tousled waves, barely-there makeup and a pop of an amazingly deep shade. It is also the return of MAC’s colorless Lipglass.
