Ecuadorian roses imported for birthday bash | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

She walks by, and all eyes are on her. She’s beautiful, adorable and vivacious; she’s been voted as one of our town’s best-dressed women. She helps her husband manage and run the renowned Fila brand, and is in demand for loads of events. With all these attributes, she also has a golden heart.

No wonder loads of high-end cars led to the popular Opus at Resorts World Manila, in honor of Fila’s goddess Cris Albert, no less, dahlings.

Ecuadorian roses filled the luxury lounge, while tall gothic candles provided the soft, smoky lighting.

The invitees were a wonderful, eclectic mix close to Cris’ heart; marketer and entrepreneur Tim Yap; fashion editor Sari Yap; best friends Irene Yulo and Deena de la Cruz; La Isla’s Timmy Tan; stage actress and director Ana Abad Santos; favorite photographer Alex Van Hagen, and moi, to name a few of the chosen ones.

Cris was effortlessly sexy in a black Balenciaga outfit. Naturellement radiant and beautiful, she treated guests to a night of luxury and love, which is so Cris, palanggas.

With her contagious laughter and a champagne flute in her hand, the Fila princess entertained with amazing flair, as Sinatra songs filled the air. Her signature bubbly, Moet & Chandon Rose, flowed abundantly.

Prepared by chef Carlo Miguel, the meal consisted of twice-baked gorgonzola soufflé; beef carpaccio; quail and bacon delight; pan-roasted Chilean sea bass; modern duck a la orange; and succulent rib eye with truffles and mashed potato.

The finale was the to-die-for dark chocolate fondant with salty caramel ice cream and malt foam that absolutely melted in our mouth, palanggas. Guests made heartfelt speeches that brought tears of joy to the celebrator.

Cheers!

Boracay face-off

Boracay Bound X: The Final Journey gathered show-biz entertainers, models, celebrities and other VIPs to Boracay for a series of games and challenges.

They came in full force via one of my favorite ways to get to that island—Seair’s 35- minute flight. Party engineer Stephen Ku led the trip, dahlings.

As the sun settled down in Boracay as seen from the official sunset venue, Solstice at the breezy Tides Hotel, overflowing San Miguel Light chilled everyone, before the party broke loose that night. The party lasted till the sun started to rise from the other side of the island.

Manille’s restaurant Opus invaded Epic Boracay.

The awesome happening ended with Republiq taking Epic by storm and bringing the house down. Golden bodies wore Ray-Ban, natch!

Boracay Bound X was an Eventscape Manila and Worldwide Womb production.
