Get all your adulting feels ready as Netflix pays some more-than-satisfactory tribute to your childhood with a first look of its own original take on The Little Prince.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s timeless tale of growing up, being a child at heart, friendship, loneliness, and love is brought to life by an adaptation that frames the book within a story of a little girl whose mother has rigidly scheduled what seems to be her entire life for her. She has a neighbor, the Aviator (Jeff Bridges) who shows her The Little Prince and all the lessons contained within.
Joining Bridges in the cast are Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, and Benicio del Toro, among others. That’s already an all-star roster, and the art style of the animation looks really elegant and promising. We can’t wait to see it when it drops on August 5.
