UA&P hosts this year’s WNCAA

After “making a difference in women’s sports” last year, the competing teams in the Women’s National Collegiate Athletics Association (WNCAA) are now called to embody “Unitas in Sports.”

Adopting that theme, the 44th WNCAA kicks off on Aug. 10 as University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) plays host for the first time. From its motto Unitas (Latin for “unity”), this year’s theme aligns with WNCAA principles of pursuing excellence in yet another exciting year in women’s sports history.

Opening ceremonies kick off at 10 a.m., and the action begins with a series of basketball openers featuring Centro Escolar University vs. Rizal Technological University at 12 noon, UA&P vs. Miriam College at 1:30 p.m. and St. Paul College Pasig vs. La Salle College Antipolo at 3 p.m.

For schedules and updates, visit the official WNCAA website at www.wncaa.ph, “Like” their Facebook page (WNCAA Philippines) and follow them on Twitter (@wncaaph).
