BOOK is issued to mark Santamaria’s 50th year as concert pianist.

“Santamaria! My Four Seasons,” a coffee-table book on pianist Ingrid Sala Santamaria, was launched recently in Cebu and Manila.

The book is divided into the pianist’s “life seasons”: Spring (1940-1961); Summer (1962-March 1991); Autumn (April 1991-Sept. 7, 2012); and Winter (Sept. 8, 2012 onwards).

The book compiles a hundred special feature articles written by different authors both in Cebu and Manila throughout the decades starting from 1950 when the pianist was 10 years old.  It is complemented by over 500 photographs.

The “Epilogue” acknowledges the contributions of former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos in the pianist’s career.

Joanne Zapanta-Andrada designed the book’s cover while Amor S. Hernando, a faithful volunteer of the pianist’s Sala Foundation, collated and edited the articles.
