Senior instructional designer, Deltek; social media coordinator, Lomography; contributor, Pinoy Tech Blog
Instagram user since: In 2010, when I used to own an iPod Touch.
Why she took the plunge: At that time, Instagram seemed like a Tumblr type of social network, only the posts were all taken using an iOS device. I loved how everyone’s posts were taken by the owner and not reblogged from the Internet (unlike Tumblr). I’m also a big fan of Lomography and the Instagram filters give a Lomo-esque look.
Gadget of choice: I used to own an iPod Touch. I now own an iPhone 4s and I’m still very impressed with its camera.
What you’ll see on her feed: I don’t really have a theme, but I just post anything that makes me happy!
Favorite Instagram subjects: The beach, food, booze, gadgets, fun times with my friends, cats.
Favorite Instagram-related apps: Snapseed to edit the brightness/contrast, PicFrame for frames, LINE if I want to add callouts and stickers, TitleFx for text.
Instagram video—yes or no? Not really a big fan of the video feature… I use Cinemagram for that.
Instagram pet peeves: Excessive selfies! Excessive hashtags! #peeve :)”
Her five favorite Instagram users:
@ryantatar—He’s a film photographer from San Francisco who takes photos of all things surf. His Instagram posts are all taken with film (as far as I know).
@garypeppergirl—She’s this fashion, travel and lifestyle blogger who posts everything beautiful!
@coastthrulife—They’re a group of Filipinos (I think) who have a passion for surfing and simple things. Also love the vintage feel.
@quotestagram—They have quotes in nice typography. It’s inspiring :)
@wa_sabi—A Japanese photographer who doesn’t own a cat but visits a cat café. It’s my cat fix, since I don’t own a cat, too.
