An organized mesh

WITH AN EMPTY frame, wire mesh and good old clothespins, one can create a hanging photo album cum memo board.

We all have photos we just like to look at every day instead of keeping them in albums, or little personal notes with sweet words from our loved ones. A mere glance at them inspires us.

Instead of a typical cork board that needs pins or tacks to keep mementos up, why not pin them up using clothespins?

This easy-to-do photo and note holder just needs a little elbow grease to get done.

What you’ll need:

Readymade frame

Wire mesh for light fencing or chicken wire

Hammer and nails

Clothespins, preferably the wooden kind

Measure the hollow space of the frame and ask workers in the hardware to cut a piece of mesh wire to that specification, leaving at least 1.5 to 2 inches allowance on all sides to nail it in place against the frame from the back.

Once you’ve secured the wire mesh, you may now hang your new “memory board” any place you want and start clipping or pinning the photos and notes, or pretty much anything you want on the wire mesh using the clothespin.

Tip: To draw the “oohs” and “aahs” from friends and family, choose a frame with interesting details.
