Ezra Santos, the Filipino who designs for Arab and European royalty, is coming home to be the featured designer in this year’s Red Charity Gala.

 

The Gala is the fashion show staged annually for a cause. It will be on Oct. 19 at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La.

 

The past two decades, Santos has made a name for himself, notably in the Middle East. In his atelier Ezra, he creates luxurious party clothes and wedding ensembles.

 

The Dubai-based designer is known for masterful cutting and precision tailoring,  soft, refined embroidery and embellishments.

 

Inspired by the fairy tales and cartoons he grew up watching, Santos creates high-glam clothes for celebrities, among them Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe, Bollywood actresses Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra, and Gretchen Barretto and KC Concepcion.

 

His clients also include prominent people in the United Arab Emirates.

 

The Gala is presented by society icon Tessa Prieto-Valdes and philanthropist Kaye Tiñga for the benefit of the Philippine Red Cross and the Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation.

 

The Red Charity Gala is directed by Ariel Lozada, fashion styling is by Noel Manapat, and hair and makeup by Patrick Rosas.

 

The show is presented by Bench, with Megaworld, Smart Infinity and Sta. Elena Construction & Development Corp.
