“The Big Show” is aptly titled as an exhibit dedicated to large works, mostly canvases sized 3 ft x 3 ft and above, stretching up to 6 ft x 8 ft.
Participating contemporary artists include Farley del Rosario, Maria Candida Flores, Camille Ver, Edwin Tres Reyes, Ed Coronel, Ranelle Dial, Leo Velasco, Leopoldo Aguilar and Raffy David.
Among the more senior and established names showcased are Ephraim Samson, Mariano Madarang, Dante Silverio, Jeff Dizon, Oscar Navarro, Caloy Gabuco, Grace Marie Katigbak, Kiko Escora, Louie Ignacio, Roger San Miguel, Paul Dimalanta, Vidal Alcoseba, Tony Alcoseba, Lyle Buencamino, Manuel Ocampo and Bembol de la Cruz.
“The Big Show” runs until Oct. 1 at the SM Art Center, Megamall.
“The Big Show” is in part a fundraising effort for artists who have been recently devastated by Typhoon Odette and the subsequent flooding particularly in Olongapo from where “Big Show” participant Farley del Rosario hails.
