Restaurant Digital Marketing Conference set Oct. 23

MANILA, Philippines—A conference focusing on how restaurant owners and entrepreneurs can use and maximize the digital platform for their benefit will be held in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, on Oct. 23, 2013.

Called the Restaurant Digital Marketing Conference, it will be the first time such a conference will bring together some of the key stakeholders in the country’s food and restaurant business. These include restaurant entrepreneurs, digital strategists, influencers/bloggers, and regional experts.

The organizers have considered the Filipinos’ love for food and drinks in planning the event. It seems that every occasion is an opportunity to get together, eat and enjoy each other’s company. This is probably why restaurants are such a big hit with Filipinos — the love for food is a compelling drive for them to eat out and keep trying new places, and to keep going back to those places that they already know and have come to love.

On the other side of the coin, the people who own and manage these restaurants also work very hard to get their restaurants “out there”.

They advertise, market, campaign, and do all kinds of publicity to make people aware of their presence, and to develop a loyal following. In this day of social media and the digital platform, it is indeed very easy to make a mark. The true test, however, lies in making an impression that will last and will encourage your audience to stick around and cultivate a lasting relationship with you.
Digital marketing has become an effective tool nowadays, not just for restaurants, but for many other types of businesses as well. It has launched brands and businesses and helped these gain a more solid foothold in the market.

Through this conference, participants can learn how to do the same for their restaurant, whether it is a big restaurant chain, or a small and cozy boutique restaurant.

The conference will be held at Enderun Colleges. Speakers and panelists include some of the best practitioners in their respective fields — Don Anderson (Senior Vice President and Director of Regional Strategic Digital Integration at APAC), Jennifer Marquet (eCRM Director of Cash Cash Pinoy), Arthur Policarpio (Asia-Pacific Head of Mobext), Jonathan Joson (from Havas Media Ortega), Carlo Ople (Managing Director at DM9-DI9IT), Michael Rastas (Managing Director at Myfoodtrip.com), Abe Olandres (Country Head of Nuffnang Philippines), Rosario Juan (Social Media Strategist and Restaurant Owner), Ana de Ocampo (co-owner of Wildflour Café + Bakery) and PJ Lanot (co-owner of Pino Restaurant).
The veteran speakers and panelists will be sharing from their own experience and insights, which will surely be an added bonus to the participants who are hoping to tap into the digital marketing platform.  Registration is now ongoing for the Restaurant Digital Marketing Conference.
