Live music—this is what sets the Rexona Run apart from any other running event ever mounted in the Philippines to date. This year’s “Run to Your Beat” definitely pushes the brand’s advocacy to do more, as it challenges the usual approach to the sport.

On Oct. 20, at the Mall of Asia Grounds, everyone is invited to join this experience of a lifetime! The race will commence at 3 a.m., and will end with a celebratory party at the finish line. Performances by Delta Street, Sandwich, The Diegos, DJ Mia Ayesa, Deuce Manila and DJ Nina will accompany all runners until the 5-kilometer mark, while Funk Avy and DJ Khai will take it from there until the 10-km mark. Topping the nonstop music festivities are Rico Blanco, Elmo Magalona and Mars Miranda, who will all be performing until the 21-km mark.

DEUCE Manila

Sandwich is known for their experimental rock style, and hits like “Sugod,” “DVDX” and “Betamax.” Callalily made their debut in 2006, and their latest album, “Flower Power,” has been widely received by their fans. The Diegos, Diego Mapa and Diego Castillo, have been making waves with their dynamic duo. DJ Mia Ayesa spins a great mix that will leave you shaking your signature moves on the dance floor. Deuce Manila is comprised of Kat DJ and Patty Tiu, the only female DJ duo in Manila. DJ Nina Saputil’s unparalleled taste in mixes and songs definitely brings out the life in any party.

With humble beginnings as the resident DJ of Club Centro in Libis and Club Halo in Makati, Funk Avy is now dubbed as Manila’s top DJ, producer and remixer thus far. Rico Blanco has come a long way from the good old days of being the lead of Rivermaya.  Now, he boasts of tracks that fall under the  “ethno-rock” and “neo-epic” genres as they include tribal themes and ethnic instruments.

DJ Delta Street

With roots in his legend of a father, the King of Philippine hip-hop Francis M, Elmo Magalona takes on a modernized spin into this musical genre. Capping off “Run to your Beat” is Mars Miranda, one of the growing names in the DJ-ing industry. His unique sets are a fusion of classic hip-hop, RNB, rock, soul, funk and disco.
