The early symptoms are similar to those of the flu: fever, headache, weakness and discomfort that may last for a few days.

As the fever progresses, the symptoms will include some cerebral dysfunction, characterized by anxiety, confusion, agitation.
In the acute stages of the disease, only within 2 to 10 days, the victim may experience delirium, abnormal behavior, hallucinations, and insomnia.
Once the clinical signs of rabies appear, survival is very rare. The disease is nearly always fatal, and treatment is typically supportive.
