How to help the earthquake victims

It doesn’t matter which part of the country (or even the world) you’re in—there are ways to help. Schools, government agencies and nonprofit organizations are all collecting relief for the victims of the earthquake that hit Bohol, Cebu and other parts of Visayas. Here are some.

 

Cebu

 

Gawad Kalinga Cebu’s Operation: Walang Iwanan is collecting relief goods including canned food, soap and bottled water at their office at the old DOST complex beside NFA in Banilad (0917-3291791).

 

Univesity of Cebu is accepting donations at their Banilad campus. Cash donations may also be sent to BDO Ayala Cebu City Branch. Account name: University of Cebu, account number: 2420075958. Call +6332-2338888.

 

ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Relief Campaign has drop-off points for donations at the ABS-CBN Broadcast Complex at Jagobia, Mandaue and Fuente Osmeña.

 

Donations can be dropped off at the University of San Carlos Cebu.

 

Bohol

 

DSWD is looking for more volunteers in Bohol. Go to the DSWD Social Welfare and Develpment Team Office (SWAD) Circumferential Road, Dampas District, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The earthquake emergency hotline is +6338-501-9365.

 

Lingap Gabriela is accepting donations at FARDEC Office, Lower Butalid St., Tagbilaran City. Call +63912-5949170.

 

Manila

 

Alagang Kapatid Foundation is accepting donations at 730 Quirino Highway, San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City. Call +632-376-4412 or +632-689-3100 local 45191 or 45192.

 

Lingap Gabriela has drop-off points at 25 K-10th St., West Kamias, Quezon City (+632-4341039) or 35 Scout Delgado St., Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City (+632-374-4423).

 

500 Petron stations are accepting donations. Just look for the Sagip Alalay sign.
