American Eagle Outfitters’ latest holiday collection, featuring real people shot in beautiful Alaska, stays grounded in denim but plays with new washes and textures, and comes accented by detailed tops, cozy layers and accessories.

 

The women’s line has personality sweaters with fun sayings and animal graphics mixed with the rest of the casualwear such as classic plaids and tees.

 

There are also cardigans, feminine tops, lace skirts and pretty dresses.

 

Rounding up the collection are chunky scarves, metallic flats, embellished cross body bags, slouchy beanies and cool jewelry.

 

The men’s line has vintage-inspired outerwear, classic plaid and gingham wovens and sweaters and cardigans. Classic crew neck sweaters pair perfectly with rugged denim. Party styles have polished blazers and corduroys mixed with solid wovens.

 

Denim anchors the entire collection with dark washes, destroyed and vintage details and slim fits.

 

Accessories are minimal this season with key pieces such as slouchy beanies, rope belts, boots and sneakers.

 

Part of the collection is feminine and elevated with neutrals that showcase pretty details such as lace, sheer fabrics and sparkle and shine. The other side of the collection is bright and fun with pops of red and other jewel tones. PJs are a big idea, updated with embellishments and silky bottoms and accented with soft and pretty tanks and tees.

 

AEO’s newest bra, Holly, is a push-up demi cup, and has a little less push up than Reese, and falls between “perkier” and “perkiest” on the push-up scale.
