Gantimpala Theater’s musical “Katipunan: Mga Anak ng Bayan,” staged in honor of Andres Bonifacio’s sesquicentennial, first made the rounds of Dagupan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Laguna and Bulacan and was seen by some 100,000 audience members.
Directed by Joel Lamangan and Jun Pablo, “Katipunan” stars Sandino Martin as Andres Bonifacio, Anna Fegi and Rita de Guzman as Gregoria de Jesus, and RJ Jimenez as Emilio Jacinto.
Now the musical is set to rock Metro Manila and neighboring cities on Nov. 5, (9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.), Colegio de San Agustin, Dasmariñas Village, Makati City; Nov. 20 (6 p.m.) and November 21-22, (10 a.m./2 p.m.) at the AFP Theater, Quezon City; Nov. 29 (7 p.m.) at Bonifacio High Street Open Field; Nov. 30, Taguig University, and Dec. 7 (9 a.m., 12 noon, 3 p.m.), Montano Hall, Cavite City.
Assisting directors Lamangan and Pablo are Bonifacio Ilagan, writer; Jose Jeffrey Camañag for libretto; RJ Jimenez, music; Sonny Aniceto, set design; Ninya Bedruz, light design; and Cicey Alejo, production and stage management.
