Bayanihan’s Suzie Benitez cited as ‘influential Filipina’

SUZIE Moya Benitez

Bayanihan executive director Suzie Moya Benitez joins the list of Filipinos to receive the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award (FWN Global 100).

Benitez is honored with the Innovators & Thought Leaders Award, a category that “recognizes women who have broken new ground in the marketplace, have delivered new and unique applications of emerging technology transforming the way people think, in the fields of sports, literature, the arts and pop culture, or have improved the lives of others by helping develop a product or service in the fields of science, engineering, technology or medicine.”

The 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award recognizes women of Philippine ancestry who influence the face of leadership in the global workplace, having reached status for outstanding work in their respective fields, and are recognized for their achievement and contributions to society, mentorship and legacy. This year, the Committee received quite a number of submissions, and Benitez was selected from an outstanding field of nominees from around the world. The Search Committee, comprised of a team of previous FWN 100 United States Awardees, chose qualified candidates based on the size and scope of their positions, influence on their industries and communities, board affiliations and leadership roles.

The awarding ceremonies capped the 10th Filipina Leadership Summit, a two-day event of learning, networking and festivities. The honorees had the opportunity to meet, share and reflect on their experiences and aspirations.
