Mission Accomplished: 4,000 take on Outbreak Missions

MANILA, Philippines – All roads led to Filinvest City last October as it became the place where over 4,000 participants became part of an epic-choice driven adventure known as “Outbreak Missions”.

In the empty Filinvest Mall, the participants were tasked to complete a course of challenges that include meeting special characters, unravelling clues while being chased by four hundred flag-hungry zombies last Oct. 18 and 19.

They ran, walked, and screamed as they tried to accomplish two missions: first, to find a rumored cure in a mission called The Adarna Initiative; and second, to find a bus that will bring them out of the infected zone at The Narrows.

Participants were ushered into a post-apocalyptic army camp where they were grouped into teams of 10. Then, they had to strategize amongst themselves as they set out a course where there were dark roads and mall passageways swarming with zombies determined to grab their life flags.
Of the 4,000, 2,000 survived The Adarna Initiative October 18 while the other 2,000 accomplished the mission October 19 at The Narrows.

“Outbreak Missions is not all about running — it’s a lot of quick thinking, teamwork, and decision-making. If you love zombie-themed movies, shows, and video games, then this is your chance to get off the coach and experience the thrill first hand,” organizer Angelo Cruz said.

Outbreak Missions is an event series brought by the organizers of Outbreak Manila, the longest-running zombie-themed run in the Philippines.

Outbreak Missions was sponsored by Filinvest City, Festival Supermall, Boardwalk, Fox, Summit Natural Drinking Water; in cooperation with Impact High Performance Whey Protein, Smart, Mogu Mogu, Coleman, Booster C Energy Shot, and Makeup Design Academy.
