Bit by Bit Production presents “Maxie The Musicale” at Peta Phinma Theater. This theatrical adaptation of the award-winning indie film “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” features original music from William Elvin Manzano, Janine Santos and JJ Pimpinio. Script is written by Palanca Hall of Famer Nick Pichay, with direction under Dexter Santos.
Shows are 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 16-17, 23-24; and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 22.
Following this musical is the Philippine premiere of “Nanay,” a site-specific performance installation. Canada’s Urban Crawl, in cooperation with the Philippine Women Centre of British Columbia, devised this production about the lives of OFWs under Canada’s Live-In Caregiver Program.
In this experimental play, only a maximum 30 audience members per show will be accommodated, as the audience moves through office cubicles, stairwells and the backstage areas to witness multimedia performances and “testimonial” pieces.
Tickets are P350. Shows are on Nov. 25-30, 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Award-winning composer and musical director Bob Aves and his group of internationally acclaimed musicians continue to push musical boundaries through a groundbreaking integration of the gong culture of the southern Philippines and contemporary jazz.
Musicians Dix Lucero (saxophone), Nikko Rivera (keyboard), Tusa Montes (kulintang), Colby de la Calzada (bass), and Harald Huyysen (drums) compose the ensemble. Tickets are at P500, P1,000 and P1,500.
