When we think actress Ellen Adarna is all about looking darn sexy in a sports bra doing jump ropes or super fab in a sleek pantsuit topping our best-dress lists—ha!, the joke’s on us. What we, mere mortals, don’t know is that she can be just as charmingly funny as she is captivating. This is seen in the first six kick-starter videos of her 18-part video series campaign for her newest body lotion endorsement for Bench Body. With her #SkinFairness series, she mixes her own delivery with sex appeal with a little dash of sassy humor—and it works!
Ellen is seen throwing punchlines in this video series, which will be rolled out gradually until December. “Ang skin parang weather, may pag-asa, “she’d say at one point. “In life, learn how to choose your bottles,” she tells next.
This relaunch of the Bench Supra White Lotion, which the star fronts, also presents a side of Ellen Adarna we’ve yet to see. As she delivers sharp and quick one-liners in this one-woman show, the Pasión de Amor star proves that she is more than just the stereotypical “sex symbol.”
In fact, when asked to describe herself in real life, she tells Bandera, “I am very cowboy, very laidback. Walang pakialam [and] yung walang poise minsan—like that.”
As she is often type-cast, this could just be Ellen’s way to finally branch out towards other roles. Maybe venture into comedy? In so far as the previews of the campaign show, you be the judge.
