The nuns prayed prostrate before the Blessed Sacrament from 12 midnight until 6 a.m. when the Holy Mass was celebrated. After the talk of Bishop Martires, Fr. Apolinario Ty, SSS led the prayers asking God for the rehabilitation of those affected by the typhoon.

Afterwards, Fr. Ty held the Blessed Sacrament in a procession around the chapel. Money saved from downsizing the Congress was donated to the Divine Word Hospital, whose roof was ripped off by the typhoon . It is run now by the Benedictine nuns of St. Scholastica.

Other beneficiaries include the Inmaculata Adoration Convent in Polo, New Washington and the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Tigbao, Tacloban City. The roof of the Rectory was destroyed.
