In Milan, guests at the Gucci spring/summer ’16 show were greeted with a mishmash of colors, eclectic styling, and “Notice me” accessories.  Creative director Alessandro Michele once again breathed life into the label with his signature boho-geek aesthetic, playing with intricate floral patterns and worldly imagery.

The 62-look show was duly prepared by Alessandro as he did heavy research on international design, drawing inspiration from Egypt and China. Snakes and Renaissance maps were also recurring themes on the pieces that were showcased–symbols of power, intelligence, beauty, and seduction.

The show’s production proved to be a total stunner. Guests were already in full buzz over the event’s invitation–hand embroidered cards placed inside a pink studded envelope. This translated into some pieces that are fully hand-embroidered as well. The gala was held at a glasshouse-like industrial space, decorated with vintage-inspired carpets and greenery. Front row consisted of Gucci muses Charlotte Casiraghi, Dakota Johnson, and Karen Elson.
