Southerners are in for a treat this weekend. Specialty gift shop Aranáz Tú goes down south for a three-day pop-up at Alabang Town Center. From today until Oct. 4, the shop will be part of Artifact: A Pop-Up for the Modern Home.
Aranáz Tú is the gift boutique of fashion accessories label Aranáz. The shop goes well beyond just fashion by venturing more into lifestyle products. This includes home décor and stationery that bears the brand’s signature prints.
Tú owner Rosanna Aranaz talks about the brand’s prints and how it all began. “My grandfather used to make furniture and ceramics back in the day, and my dad has been into Christmas decorations. So I guess I’ve always been exposed to it ever since,” Rosanna says. Eventually, this childhood fascination materialized into an actual shop. “I find it so funny that I stopped buying clothes and find myself buying things for my room more often.”
From polka dot stationery and trays to palm tree-printed toilet bags, Rosanna made sure that the prints were all original. “I make [the prints] along with our design assistants.” When asked about her personal favorite, I’m currently loving the banana print pattern,” she admits.
Though the current collection is looking good already, Tú isn’t done treating its customers with something new. “We’re hoping to introduce ceramics, leather accessories, travel goods, fabric, and wallpaper,” she teases.
