Maritess Tantoco-Enriquez

Retail executive and scion, Rustan’s Group

To be able to travel and see places is a blessing. An even bigger blessing is to travel—when one is almost 93.

But the biggest gift of all is to be able to travel with your loved ones.

This has been the most wonderful grace that Maritess “Tokie” Tantoco-Enriquez had in 2013. She and her family have gone places with their father, Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr., who still loves  to travel and has the energy for it.

“My dad is so precious to me,” writes Tokie in an e-mail to Lifestyle Travel accompanying these photos. “He is such a darling and easy-go-lucky, down-to-earth and simple person. Nowadays he loves going back to his past and wants to reminisce.”

Ambassador Tantoco, founder and patriarch of the Rustan’s Group, turns 93 on April 7.

In the meantime, he’s covering a lot of ground—with Tokie and the rest of his family—from New York to Sotogrande, Spain.
