Paris Hilton wore a Filipino designer to the Grammys

Some little-known news in the aftermath of the Grammy Awards that we’re glad to hear is that a Filipino designer was actually on the red carpet.

Filipino designer Albert Andrada designed the ivory fully beaded gown with back detail of sheer skin-tone tulle with baroque artwork worn by Paris Hilton, no less. The high-neck gown was fully encrusted with white opal and silver Swarovski crystals.

Andrada told Lifestyle how Jacob Meir, stylist and boutique owner, saw his creations on one of the social networks and checked Andrada’s website. “He asked if I was open to the possibility of sending clothes to be displayed in his boutique in Hollywood,” Andrada said.

Turns out that Hilton is one of Meir’s clients. “I agreed and sent the evening gown, which is one of my favorites. Never did I guess that it would land on the red carpet for the 2014 Grammys.”
