MANILA, Philippines – A new burger import for one classic diner with a whole new Heart.
This is what international fast food chain Wendy’s has brought into their Philippine stores – the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger – and a new brand ambassadress, Heart Evangelista.
A hit in the US, the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger puts Wendy’s signature 100% US beef patty, melted cheddar, mustard, lettuce, tomato and the ever-famous bacon between a crunchy pretzel bun.
The fast food chain, together with Evangelista, launched the burger Wednesday at one of its newest stores at the Hanston Building in Ortigas.
The glam Evangelista, who for the first time would endorse a food company, said that she wanted to “experience something different.”
“We all deserve a food like this after working hard,” said Evangelista who described the new burger as a reward for a hard day’s night.
The actress joked that, despite her glam nature, she was chosen as a brand ambassadress because of her dancing skills.
Yvette Pardo-Orbeta, Chairman of Wendy’s Philippines, said that Wendy’s Philippines was the first market in Asia to launch the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger.
Apart from the new burger, Wendy’s Philippines President Michael Kho said that all Wendy’s branches would be renovated with hardwood floors, ceilings and walls which would include the new Wendy’s logo.
