The newest offering for aesthetes is “Art For All Manila: The Affordable Art Fair 2014,” which shall run Feb. 14-16 at the 3/F, SM Aura Premier, Taguig City.
The success of ManilArt 2013 held at the SMX Convention Center-Taguig last October was marked by the broadened range of viewers as it enticed leisure shoppers of the upscale retail hub as well. Encouraged by the success of the fair, the organizers, with SM Aura, have come up with AFAM to make art more available to the public.
Apart from artwork, artist-made objects and utilitarian artistry shall be on display and with friendly tag prices that may be perfect Valentine gifts.
As an additional treat to mall-goers, a series of activities shall be open to the public on Feb. 16. The program includes a talk by prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, a dance excerpt from the classical ballet “Le Corsaire” (The Pirate), and a demonstration of a ballet class featuring the scholars of Ballet Manila’s Project Ballet Futures with choreography by one of the country’s finest danseurs, Osias Barroso Jr., and France-based choreographer Ernest Mandap.
