Aquino hopes no ‘yaya’ duties on Valentine’s Day | Lifestyle.INQ

MANILA, Philippines – He might not have a date on Valentine’s Day, but President Benigno Aquino III nonetheless hopes he won’t be called upon by sister Kris to look after his nephews.

“At least siguro hindi naman idedeposito ni Kris (Aquino) yung mga kanyang mga anak sa araw na ito,” Aquino said in jest during an ambush interview at the sidelines of the 21st Travel Tour Expo in Pasay City.

(At least [my sister] Kris wouldn’t probably drop her kids off [at my place] today.)

But when asked about how he’ll spend Valentine’s Day, Aquino joked that there was not enough time and he would have to leave.

The President nevertheless obliged and said he would celebrate the special day with friends.

“Mamaya naman magtitipon kami ng mga kaibigan ko. May kaunting salo-salo.

Hanggang dun na lang iyon,” he said.

(Later I will meet up with friends. There will be a small gathering. That’s it.)

 
After the expo, Aquino still has a couple of meetings at Malacañang before calling it a day.

Aquino also admitted that he almost forgot to greet his sister, actress Kris Aquino, a happy birthday, if not for Senator Sonny Angara who mentioned it to him during the event.
